RARA Lake Nepal | Rara lake Trek

The Rara Lake Nepal is the greatest and most profound freshwater lake in the Nepal Himalayas. It is the principle highlight of the Rara National Stop, situated in the Jumla and Mugu Regions. Rara Lake lies at an altitude of 2,990 m (9,810 ft) above sea level, has a water surface of 10.8 km2 (4.2 sq mi), a maximum depth of 167 m (548 ft), is 5.1 km (3.2 mi) long and 2.7 km (1.7 mi) wide. It drains into the Mugu Karnali River via the Nijar River. Its water quality is characterized by high pH, conductivity, and total hardness. It was reported to be very slightly polluted and was classified as oligotrophic in limnological terms. It is polluted due to wastes produced during festivals by visiting locals and tourists

RARA Lake – Climate

Rara National park is an ensured territory in the Himalayas of Nepal and was built up in 1976. Covering a region of 106 km2 (41 sq mi) in the Mugu and Jumla regions, it is the nation’s littlest national stop. Its principle include is Rara Lake at an elevation of 2,990 m (9,810 ft).[1] The recreation center was set up to ensure the exceptional greenery of the Humla– Jumla District of Nepal.

Plant and creature life

Mishaps and episodes

On 26 May 2010, a Tara Air DHC-6 Twin Otter took off from Birendranagar Air terminal in Surkhet, heading for Talcha Airplane terminal in Rara, with 18 travelers and 3 teams on load up.  At 10 am, the flying machine needed to make a crisis arrival at Birendranagar Airplane terminal, after its lodge entryway all of a sudden opened five minutes after take-off. Tara Air authorities said that the lodge specialist figured out how to bolt the entryway promptly after it opened, to turn away any conceivable setbacks.

On 21 November 2011, a Makalu Air Cessna 208B Thousand Troop took off from Surkhet Air terminal, in transit to Talcha Air terminal. Upon touchdown at Talcha, the airship slid off the runway and hit a stone, harming the front of the airship—four of the 11 inhabitants were harmed.

Tourism
